Meet the team
Trethias Farm Caravan Park has been family owned and run since the 1950s, and little has changed since its beginning, other than the installation of the type of facilities that you would expect today.
Great Grandparents
Dennis and Kathleen
Dennis and Kathleen saw a niche in the market and a potential sideline to accompany the tough industry of farming and its relatively low and highly fluctuating income. They were the front runners in the area, allowing camping since the 1940's, and sowed the seeds of Trethias.
Grandparents
Gerry and Betty
Gerry and Betty continued and expanded on the camping element and regulated Trethias with pitches and facilities buildings through licensing and utilities provision. All of this while raising 3 children, running a full time mixed farm and even fighting at times for Trethias' survival. They were always heavily involved in the local community; they brought Trethias into the individual format you can still see today.
Parents
David and Sandi
David and Sandi took over the reins of the park in 1996 and made several steps in both upgrading and maintaining Trethias, while keeping the attractive natural and easy going feel. They greatly increased the environmental ethos of the park, and building on the existing family element, while making it a safe and peaceful place to stay. Still owners, and still proud of what has been built on and achieved.
Myself (Leroy) and Lindsay
Leroy and Lindsay
Leroy became a partner after studying at University and gaining experience in other roles. Lindsay joined the business, before eventually joining the family too. Moving with the times, while keeping true to the original, and standing out from the crowd is what they bring to the Trethias ethos.
My Children
Rory, Max, Bailey and Olivia
Born in 2011 and 2013, these boys have seen and been involved in a lot already! Their little sisters Bailey, born 2015, and Olivia, born in 2016, make double trouble! The 5th Generation of Chandlers at Trethias.
