Our history

Trethias Farm Caravan Park has been family owned and run since the 1950s, and little has changed since its beginning, other than the installation of the type of facilities that you would expect today. We are an award winning conservation park, with wildlife havens and bird protection areas surrounding the camping fields.

Trethias is ideal for families and couples, seeking a classic camping holiday, and looking to avoid the usual cramped over developed parks.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of the North Cornwall coastline, Trethias enjoys some uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside, Trevose Head, Bodmin Moor and sometimes even St. Ives Bay on an exceptional day. All of our touring pitches are positioned around the edge of the fields, leaving the middle open for games and cycling.

1930s	Campers in field.
1940s	RNAS Vulture crew members and US serviceman stay at Trethias
1950s	Licence prior to the creation of AONB (Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
1960s	Toilet blocks constructed.
1970s	Shower blocks constructed and BH & HPA Membership (British Holiday & Home Parks Association).
1980s	Electricity
1990s	David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme member - straight in at Silver level Direct sewage connection to static caravans.
2000s	UV water system and solar system installed.
2010s	Wifi installed 10 years Gold David Bellamy Award Visit Britain rated to 4 star park.
2020s	Brand new field with fully serviced pitches, new & renovated buildings across the park

The site itself is only yards from the South West Coast Path, with Padstow a days walk to the north, and the outstanding Bedruthan Steps to the south.
